USEFUL HINT...If being used outdoors (rabbits, feral cats etc) then why not insulate the under side of the sleeping quarters with polystyrene foam. Pieces of this can often be picked up free from places like vegetable shops. Cut it to size - and then glue in place! If you are happy that your animal is unlikely to eat the polystyrene - then it can be laid at the base of the hutch etc,under the bedding, with a circular recess cut in it for the heatpad to sit in - this means that it will stay warm even longer! and provide a level area to sleep on.
